I'm still in shock. I think I played it off well though. My old Captain, Danny Ross, called me up and asked me to meet him for lunch. I hadn't seen him in awhile so I agreed. And...he asked me if I wanted to transfer into the Major Case Squad. Me. At One Police Plaza. This is big. Putting aside the fact that I don't care for where I am currently, it's a big deal. Detectives at my age and experience don't get into MCS. All those detectives are like in their 40's and 50's, at least, and have been cops a lot longer than me. I'm just...Detective Wheeler. How on earth do I belong there? How do I even pretend like I belong there? But I'm not crazy. I said yes. Major Case, here I come.
