::Delivered by Officer Millie Logan, to the Major Case Squad at approximately 9:40am::

::She looked around. It was early, and the only one who was around was Baer. She saw him, quickly gave him the folder, and was quickly called out to the 1-6, leaving no time for small talk.::

Official CSU Report:

Summary of Findings: (Tech's Notes)

James Deakins' Car

1) Blood in the front seat-steering wheel and doorhandle was James Deakins'.
2) Print from the front door belonged to James Deakins.
3) Blood and hair in the backseat matched Nicole Wallace.
4) Rock used to break window is not native to the City. Still checking the results, but it looks like it may be from upstate, possibly the more mountainous Hamptons area.
5) Pictures are standard, Kodak film. There is no way to trace the development of them-i.e. where they were developed or by whom.

Crime Scene:

1) Blood on mattress and linens belonged solely to James Deakins.
2) Again, the pictures were all standard Kodak film, no way to trace the development.
3) The copy of the courthouse map was made on an HP 850cc Inkjet printer. There were no prints on it, nor were there any on the photos.
4) From the trash in the bathroom: One used condom, no traces of seminal or vaginal fluids found.
5) The gun had been recently fired--traces of GSR found. It had been wiped free of prints.
6) The indentations on the notepad were again traced, and the message revealed. The handwriting sample was then compared to one of Wallace's. No match was found. Rather the writer appeared to be ambidextrous, and not singularly right-handed as Wallace's writing appears. The same ambidextrous scrawl appears on the photo from the car as well as the manila envelope found on Det. Barek's door.

Results from Manila Envelope Found at Det. Barek's home:

1) Again, same scrawl as everything else that's been written on thus far--not a match to Wallace's own writing, unless she's studied the art of forgery.
2) Manila envelope is a cheap store brand, available at any CVS Pharmacy.
3) Copy made on standard-issue Xerox, similar if not the same as the regulation Department copiers.

EDIT: Just an fyi, there are links on the side of the main page for all major aspects of this case, so in case you're behind or have missed something, the important stuff is linked there.
