dtjbarr: *opens the door to the interrogation room*
dtjbarr: Hello...
frankiesilvera: *walks in after Jackie*
Maggie: ::looks up, in an annoyed voice:: Why am I here? I didn't do anything wrong.
dtjbarr: *smiles apologetically* Don't blame me...blame my boss.. He wanted us to talk to you again.
frankiesilvera: *sits down across from Maggie*
Maggie: Well you shouldn't be talking to me. Anna and Peter were on our side. I didn't kill him.
dtjbarr: We never said we thought you did..
dtjbarr: Just that you might have seen something that would help us find out who did...
Maggie: Someone from Isaac's group for sure. Probably him.
dtjbarr: What's Isaac's last name?
Maggie: Rosen.
frankiesilvera: Why do you think Issac did it, instead of someone else?
dtjbarr: *writes it down*
Maggie: He probably had his bitch Stephen stab Aspen.
Maggie: Isaac is the leader. They're too dumb to do anything without him.
dtjbarr: Did you see Isaac and Stephen the day of the attack?
Maggie: I saw Stephen stab my boyfriend. Bastard took out a knife and just went after him.
dtjbarr: Which one was your boyfriend?
Maggie: Aspen Custer.
dtjbarr: Did you see Stephen do anything else after he stabbed Aspen?
Maggie: ::doesn't say anything for a moment, guarded:: He turned on me.
dtjbarr: and what did you do?
Maggie: ::shifts a little:: I defended myself.
frankiesilvera: How?
dtjbarr: How did you defend yourself, Maggie? If that's all it was, you have nothing to worry about.
Maggie: I... I stabbed him.
dtjbarr: Maggie...what did you do with the knife?
Maggie: I never touched that knife.
frankiesilvera: Then where is it?
dtjbarr: How did you stab him without touching the knife?
Maggie: ::getting frustrated:: How should I know? I wasn't exactly paying attention to what he did after. For all I know he swallowed it!
frankiesilvera: You stabbed him with his own knife...or a different one?
Maggie: Do I look like I carry around knives?! ::Puts her hands on the table, angry. Her nails are nicely done.::
dtjbarr: What type of person looks like they carry a knife?
Maggie: -You- should know that. That's what the city pays you for.
dtjbarr: *pauses* What are you so pissed for? We're on your side...
Maggie: ::looks up at her:: You're going to think this was our fault. People look down on Nazis all the time-even Germans sometimes.
frankiesilvera: *reisists the urge to be sarcastic*
dtjbarr: What we want is for the people who attacked other students to be punished..
Maggie: Than go arrest Stephen. I told you he attacked us.
dtjbarr: I intend to...but it would be a stronger case if we knew where the knife was..
Maggie: I don't -know- where the knife is!
frankiesilvera: Do you have a place it might be?
Maggie: Me? You think I have it? How many times do I have to tell you? I don't know where it is!
dtjbarr: Ok...did you see anything else the day of the incident?
Maggie: I saw that the boys who had been suspended were back. That's all.
frankiesilvera: So you were attacked and your boyfriend was stabbed, for no reason...just because you were standing there?
Maggie: ::gives her a look that says "duh":: A shot was fired, people started running and screaming, I saw Stephen come after us.
Maggie: Aspen pushed me aside, got stabbed and fell then Stephen came after me and he ran into my nail file.
Maggie: I wasn't really watching to see what other people did after that. I -was- a little preoccupied.
Dt J Barr: *pauses* So, why didn't you tell us you stabbed him with your nail file before?
Dt J Barr: It was self-defense..
Maggie: ::maybe a little too firmly:: Yes. It was.
Maggie: Why are you so concerned about what Idid to keep myself from getting hurt? Go arrest Stephen. He might stab someone else. He might still have the knife.
Dt J Barr: In order for us to arrest him...we have to know the whole story. When you leave things out....it makes you look suspicious.
Maggie: A freaking nail file?! You already had me tell you like twenty times that I didn't use his knife. Did you think I brought my own in?!
livia benson: Did you?
Dt J Barr: Believe it or not, we've heard stranger things...I had a guy oncee get stabbed with a giant icicle.
Maggie: ::looks at them incredulously and mad:: No! I did -not- bring in a knife! I'm not a murderer like them!
Dt J Barr: But you did stab him with your nail file when he attacked you...
Maggie: Yes, to keep him from stabbing me too!
Maggie: I -told- you this! Why do you keep asking the same thing over and over?!
Maggie: ::stands, pissed but not acting on it::
Dt J Barr: All right...
Dt J Barr: Let's talk about something different.
Maggie: ::rolls eyes and sighs:: Fine.
Dt J Barr: We hear that there's been some conflict before this...what do you know about that?
Maggie: the Jews always start it.
Dt J Barr: How? By lording their math skills over you?
Maggie: ::scoffs:: I doubt it. Alex was the one who started making remarks that we only wanted to kill people.
Dt J Barr: Well, what do you want?
Maggie: I thought you were the ones who were suppose to make demands.
Maggie: Than make them and let me go. I didn't do anything wrong but I just gave you someone who did and you haven't done anything about him.
Dt J Barr: All right....but let's just say we bring him in, and he tells us you stabbed him because he stabbed your boyfriend...
Maggie: You'd know he was lying. That's what Jews do.
Dt J Barr: *to Frankie* That's what Jews do....well, fuck...look how much easier our job just got.
frankiesilvera: *smirks a little* Yeah really.
Maggie: They lie to make themselves look better. They've been doing it for decades. Go read a history book.
Dt J Barr: *to Maggie* See...that's why we need something called 'evidence'. Putting one person's word against another leads to reasonable doubt...
Dt J Barr: Which, if he's such a good lying Jew, he might be able to pull off. You wouldn't want that, would you?
Maggie: ::starting to get scared:: But you know he's going to lie. There are hundreds of documented stories of lying Jews. Look at Anne Frank for God's sake!
Dt J Barr: Then help us, Maggie...help us stop him..
Maggie: ::thinks for a moment, scared:: Go talk to Aspen. He probably saw it too.
Dt J Barr: Do you think he'll talk to us, Maggie? Or do you think he'll be scared?
Maggie: He's not scared of anything. He'll talk.
Dt J Barr: Is there anyone else we should talk to?
Maggie: Randolf will vouch for me. I saw Miles briefly after the first shot. He might have seen something.
frankiesilvera: Randolph and Miles who?
Maggie: Randolf Weber and Miles...Becker.
frankiesilvera: Randolph Weber and Miles Becker *writes it down* You're sure about that?
Maggie: I'm not the enemy! Of course I'm sure!
frankiesilvera: Just checking to make sure I got it right.
Maggie: Yeah, you did.
frankiesilvera: *nods*
Dt J Barr: Anything else?
Maggie: You tell me.
Maggie: ::has resumed sitting, arms wrapped around her defensively, not looking at anyone::
livia benson: Any idea where we can find Randolph and Miles?
Maggie: ::shrugs:: At home?
frankiesilvera: Which is where?
Maggie: Randolf lives somewhere in Harlem. I don't know where Miles lives.
frankiesilvera: Anywhere they hang out normally?
Maggie: School... There's a store on the corner a couple blocks away. Sometimes we go there.
frankiesilvera: Ok.
Maggie: Go! Don't just stand there assuming I'm wrong. Go prove it to yourselves.
Dt J Barr: We're not assuming you're wrong..
Maggie: Well you're not assuming I'm right either.
Dt J Barr: We're cops, kid...we don't assume anyone's right.
Maggie: Than go prove I'm right.
Dt J Barr: We will....and you're free to go.
frankiesilvera: Thanks for your help.
Maggie: Finally. ::stands up and heads for the door::
Dt J Barr: We may need to talk to you again after we speak with Stephen....so don't go anywhere.
Maggie: ::stops at the door:: No, of course not. ::may sound too perfect::
