In the case of the People versus Dolph Burklinn, both the presiding Assistant District Attorney, Abbie Carmichael, and the opposing counsel, Alan Shore, received death threats recently. In addition, Mr. Shore was attacked shortly after, in what police have determined was not an attempt on his life, but an attempt at intimidation. Because of the nature of the trial, Judge Jamie Ross has issued a gag order. Pursuant to that, for the duration of the trial, no one but police personnel related to the case, witnesses, and jurors will be allowed in the courtroom.
