The venue for the NYPD/DA's Office Annual Halloween Party is decorated as festively as you can get on a small budget. There's orange and black crepe paper along with various other decorations - hanging paper skeletons, witch hat centerpieces, etc. There are also bowls of snacks and candy, along with a fountain of punch that will inevitably be

Turning up fashionably late, Alex (minus the hat) and David stroll in with a little spider toddling inbetween them.

OOC: That doesn't mean hours late, that means just not when it starts straight away. Like half an hour after Millie turned up -- which is nothing -- so you can tag me back.

"Eames," a dry voice said with amusement. It was Ross, by the punchbowl.

Alex stepped to the punchbowl, with Ellie and David, and smirked at Ross. "Captain," she chuckled, looking at his costume.

Ross was dressed as a vampire. "What're you supposed to be?" he asked curiously. It was clear what Ellie and David were, but he wasn't quite sure about Alex.

"A Victorian Lolita," Alex replied, like that was all that was needed as a response. "I see you've gone for the Vampire look as opposed to dressing up as one of our colleagues."

David smirked, and Ellie pointed up at Ross with wide eyes.

Ross suppressed a chuckle. "Yes, I was told that it was only okay to dress up as one of my colleagues if it wasn't as the result of a bet." He glanced briefly to where Liz Rodgers was talking with one of the cops from the 2-7. "And then I realized, I wouldn't want to dress up as one of my colleagues unless it was the result of a bet..." His eyes turned to Josh Simmons, who was dressed in a suit with some padding, detective badge clipped to the lapel and his hair grayed.

Alex chuckled, and followed his gaze. She frowned, not entirely recognising who the person was, or what they were dressed up as. "Who is that?" Alex asked, poking her finger in Simmons' general direction.

David grabbed a handful of snacks and gave a piece to Ellie.

"It's Josh Simmons," Ross said. "As for who he's dressed as..." Ross cleared his throat, trying not to laugh and motioned to the binder that Simmons picked up from where he'd left it on a table. The tech then tilted his head in a practiced manner. "...does that help?"

Alex glanced at the binder and then frowned, before her eyes widened out of shock. "Oh, my God," she really couldn't believe her eyes.

David frowned, looking at Simmons, then at Alex, and then at Ross, "I don't get it."

Alex tried to suppress a laugh.

Just then, a tech named Molly who tended to work with Major Case, came up to Simmons, smirking. She was dressed in a sleeveless knit blouse, dress pants and boots, with a badge pinned on her blouse. Normally a brunette, Molly was wearing a dark blonde wig.

Ross nearly choked on his punch at the sight.

Alex frowned. "You're kidding me, right?" She turned to Ross.

"Hey, one of you better tell me, or heads are gonna roll," he was still confused. Ellie toddled to Ross slowly and poked at his legs.

"Me? And Goren?" Alex shook her head. "Are they nuts?"

"Apparently," Ross laughed. He glanced down at Ellie. "Hi, Ellie." He smiled, showing fake fangs.

Now that he had a better idea of what was going on, David looked at Simmons and Molly with amusement. "Ha-ha-ha-ha," he poked Alex. "You've got a fan."

Ellie looked up at Ross with a grin before shaking her head, "Nahhh." She giggled and continued to poke his legs.

Ross held his arms out to the toddler, in case she wanted up.

Alex looked at David's finger that was poking her arm and then up at his face with a raised brow. "Watch it," she warned, in a quiet voice.

"Oh, come on, it's funny," David argued, but he did stop poking her. "Look at all that padding that 'Goren' has..." Alex shook her head.

Ellie lifted up her arms in response. She had her own little padded body, but with Ellie, it just looked cute.

Ross went ahead and picked Ellie up. "You should take it as a compliment," he told Alex. "You know how much Simmons admires you all." He paused. "I'm not sure why..."
