Both pitchers are starting to flag.

In thirteen, Don starts to pitch
Man, his slider's a bitch
Nichols strikes out swinging
His ears are left ringing
And Goren's beginning to twitch.

Inning fourteen has found
Rodgers perched on the mound
Fin's on first on four balls
But there the team stalls
What’s that? It apppears that Mike frowned.

Just to be even handed
Each team's left 20 stranded
This game needs deciding
'Cause Jack has a bet riding
On Major Case; to be perfectly candid.

Inning thirty's come and gone
And it's practically dawn
Brace yourself for the pain ...
