Rey stared at a point on the wall. He wasn’t really paying attention to it, just staring. He couldn’t remember the damn song. It was driving him up the wall.
“Try to remember…” he began again, then stopped. That wasn’t the tune. Those were the words, sure, but that wasn’t the tune. He tried again, this time just speaking the words, not singing them, maybe he’d remember. “Try to remember the…the kind…”
Tears pricked at his eyes. If he forgot even one thing, he could forget everything.
“Rey? What’s wrong?”
Rey looked up.
“I’m starting to forget him, Ed.”
