In the back corner of the restaurant, Jimmy waited, as he had been for almost an hour, the offer replaying in his mind.

Things were returning to normal in Major Case. Eames was back, Goren was happy. Overall, a nice change from the tension that had pervaded the bullpen lately.
It had taken Jimmy a moment to recognize the voice on the line, one that had so recently been heard out amongst his detectives. He agreed, out of curiosity.

Just as he was preparing to leave, she appeared beside the table with a smile.
“Hi, Jimmy.”
