Jack turned to her, smiling.
“We’re celebrating?” he teased.
” You remember our anniversary,” she laughed.
Jack stroked her hair, gently.
“Is that today?” Must be why I’m carrying this around.” He grinned, slipping the eternity ring on her finger.
“It’s beautiful,” she said, reaching up to kiss him.
Jack felt the spark he always did when they kissed.
He thought of almost losing her that long ago night and hugged her tightly.
She hugged him back, knowing what he was feeling.
“Let’s go home, Jack,” Claire whispered.
“I’m always home when I’m with you”, Jack answered.
