Uptown Girl
L&O: Trial by Jury (remember it?)
It was one of those rare New York days. The sun was shining, the air was clear, the birds were singing, and, intermittently, native New Yorkers even smiled at each other as they passed on the sidewalk.
Tracey Kibre noticed none of this. Head down, heels beating a rapid tattoo, she hurried through the doors of the courthouse, slammed the elevator button to her office floor, and swept across the room to her desk. Leaning back in her chair, briefcase on her left, computer on her right, she sighed with contentment.
ADA Gaffney appeared, files in hand. "Good morning," she said.
Kibre eyed the case load. "It is now."
