Sigh, Isn't Life Beautiful?
Graduation was awesome, bittersweet, but i didn't lose it...or have time to lose it...so i guess thats a good thing...it still hasn't sunk in that i'm not going back to bhs next year...but the ceremony went well, i was honored as being chosen by the teachers as a student who excelled in the humanities and that was cool, and i managed to get out all the words in my graduation speech without passing out, so that made me happy, no obligations so a have a piece of paper upstairs that says that i formally graduate, hurray
My party rocked, thanks so much to all those who came...mel was like my shadow for the whole thing and then some...this summer should certainly be interesting...for graduating my incredibly generous uncle and aunt gave me an ipod mini!!!! mucho excitement here, and i finally found out how to work it, although songs from cds i already own are the only things on it so far, but at least its working and i figured out of how label everything, score
Senior week, ahhhhhhh, my house, i love them all so much, they are the coolest people ever! i apologize if i ever went psycho or bitchy on them...i know sometimes they mistook my stressed out ness over the state of the house as anger, but i wasn't, i promise, and i apologize for any hard feelings...my cleaning sprees are actually quite a surprise to me, seeing as i'm the laziest person ever when it comes to cleaning...maybe there is some hope for me and having a clean house in the future, maybe i won't have to be rich and hire a maid, hmmmm ponder
Anyway the beach rocked, although i missed all y'all people in north wilmington who we thought were coming down for a visit, but then never did, making me kinda sad....the best part of the week is that we did it all sober...except for that incident that one night that we got drunk off steph lol...so while everyone and their mom from brandywine was getting completely trashed...yes i heard tons and tons of stories....we were having safe legal fun and the best part is that we could remember everything we did the next day! hurray
i'm not gonna even touch some of the things that we said/did during the week though....:)
Yesterday kinda stunk b/c i had to skip out on a lot of grad parties due to work...that fun thing...but at least returning wasn't quite as painful as i thought it was gonna be
Today was awesome, hung out with sarah, she gave me an amazing mouse pad, angel and joke gifts as a grad present.....oh yeah jackie gave me the coolest purse ever...duct tape!!!.....and then we hung out....i can't believe she is leaving on friday! ahhhhhhhhhhhh, she treated me to a trip to the movies and i finally got to see star wars, which was good, although we both wished that we remembered more of the other five films so we could put everything in context, but regardless it was enjoyable besides the freezing theatre, i finally completed my math placement exam too at eight thirty at night...hey at least i finished it today, the day that i set out to do it....i didn't get the top math level, but i guess thats okay b/c i'm not gonna be a math major...although i don't want to re-do calculus which i'd probably have to do regardless, we'll see how those AP scores turn out cough cough yuck
Oh one not so great thing today...Michael Jackson's acquittal on ALL counts...something just isn't right there, he wasn't even found guilty of serving alcohol--or jesus juice--to a minor, but i guess the jury made the right decision based upon the evidence and the questionable witnesses and general turmoil that plagued the prosecution, its just disturbing the immunity that celebrities seem to possess in the face of the law and the idea that MJ lives by his own set of separate laws, reinforced by the hoards of yes-men and staff around him who turn a blind eye in order to ensure his happiness, sucess, and thus their own monetary gain...based upon his public behavior and his own admittances that he shares his bed and cavorts on his ranch with young children, i think that he has violated the accepted social, moral, or legal code to some degree...i can't say if he actually molested any children or did something actually illegal, but these repeated accusations coupled with his general erratic behavior warrants further, unbiased monitoring regardless of his status as a pop icon
Now that i'm done my tyrade, I just want to re-thank everyone who made my whole educational experience and the last couple weeks and its various celebrations so memorable and amazing!
