The First Avenger
OK. I admit that I pooh poohed the whole Avengers thing at first. I scoffed at Iron Man. Rolled my eyes at Thor. Hulk? I don't think so. And Captain America? Whatevs. Until...a few folks on my flist started flailing about the Avengers trailer and started writing fic about it. Specifically, Tony Stark/Captain America fic. I don't know why, but I read it. And liked it. I mentioned in a comment to a story jibrailis wrote called Mr. July (which is hilarious and everyone should read) that I was being dragged into the Avengers fandom backwards like I had been into the Inception fandom. I read the fic first and then saw the movie. So, I was intrigued by these characters, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. I moved Iron Man up on my Netflix queue and watched it Thursday night. Friday night I picked up the Captain America DVD at Costco and have watched it twice. It's official. I'm in. I'm smitten. Bring it on, boys.
