[Like everyone else, Kurotsuchi has changed. The white haori doesn't fit very well, and billows around him. A long, sharply-finned fish tail replaces the shinigami's lower body, and it thrashes occasionally to keep him in place in the water ( Read more... )

Another series of physical changes. Odd, isn't it?

[Yuca is just pleasantly drifting in the water, his legs curled up in front of him. He doesn't really have to worry about being carried away by the tide- there's a little prehensile tail protruding from his tailbone, scaled like a dragon and keeping him securely wrapped around a support beam. The tail works its way up into a series of spikes emerging from his vertebrae, a delicately webbed fin attaching each one. There's also fins on either side of his neck, a set of gills- and his skin looks oddly scaled, with a faint blue-green hue.

Seahorse!Yuca still looks quite bored.]

Not sure if I approve of this or not.

Odd. But it could be worse.

[Notes Yuca's changes without surprise; turning into sea creatures was practically blase by now.]

Yours looks a bit more practical. I had to chain myself to a table to sleep without hitting the ceiling.

It's not bad. I haven't gotten the hang of swimming yet though- and my fin catches on everything.

[A little exasperated, as he reaches behind himself to touch it.]

It's flexible though. Like the angel wings, it's very much a part of my biological system now.

Seahorses aren't known for their swimming abilities. They drift more than anything.

As expected, they're more than simply attached. It's somewhat difficult to vivisect myself from this position- my fins aren't nearly as flexible as yours- but from what I have tested, everything has shifted to adjust to the new form.

Odd.

[There's a long pause.]

I think I'm cold blooded.

Can I test it?

If you like.

[He looks at his tail, before frowning.]

Not sure how I'd get there.

Hm...

[Frowning a bit himself.]

I can come fetch you. I can swim reasonably well.

...are you sure? I'm sorry- it's just a bit difficult to move around like this.

I don't mind. It'll be a chance to look at what the city's become.

[Which he does. Though it does take longer than it normally would have. Flash step might've functioned in water, but steering was a problem and hitting walls was... unpleasant at high speed. Regular swimming then.]

I see you're managing, at least.

[He's still there, just... drifting along, his tail curled around the support beam. He hasn't moved much.]

Ah! Hello.

[Yuca smiles when he sees him. Considering that his skin was a ghostly pale blue with a smattering of scales along it, the smile is a little disconcerting.]

I'm doing alright enough.

As much as ever.

[The look was interesting at least, and his attention flickered to the prehensile tail for a moment, before looking back to the rest of him.]

...I can drag you with me, I suppose. If you can avoid getting hit by any of my spikes. [Gestures vaguely towards his tail, the fins on his back.]
