This was an enjoyable read throughout, but the ending is what makes it special. Onscreen, Topher's progression from annoying jerk to complex person with feelings to hero was one of my favorite arcs in Dollhouse, so I really liked the way you showed Ivy's realization that Topher's frequent disregard for other humans didn't mean he wasn't one himself. Her reaction to this realization fits with the characterization you have here for someone who is willing to play around with others' brains (and think about sex with Topher more than that) and enjoys slamming cabinets to startle him. This kinky chair sex is going to lead to a messy situation.

Wow, thanks for the great review! I really like the idea that Ivy sees Topher's arrogance as his way of writing off people that are beneath him. And then she realizes that he genuinely wants to connect with people, but doesn't have a clue how to do it.
