car relies on job. job relies on car.
too bad last night
my car died.
me and my mom were dropping it off at the Bill Dube dealership to have the windshield wipers fixed, and as soon as i pulled in, steam started pouring out of the hood of my car, and then the check engine light came on. i shut it off and got out real quick cuz i was worried something was gonna happen. it was in the middle of a driving area. i called my mom who was inside, and she came out, and some guy ended up coming to look under the hood. he looked, and just by looking he could tell that there was so much wrong with it, it could easily eat a couple THOUSAND dollars just to make it useable. originally, we paid 750 for it, and several hundred beyond that in repairs. it's not worth it. it'd just be smarter to get a new used car.
so there goes the money i've been saving up for wisconsin...
i'm trying to be optimistic though, and look at the bright side. It really seems unlikely that I'll be going to Teaching Drum now, but I've still got plans to go to Virginia with Marcus and visit Twin Oaks (
www.twinoaks.org). and it's likely i'll be paying off my loan soon-i'll be glad to be rid of that.
arghhh.
