It's interesting that you can so see that Rodney would never give up if something like that happened, yet it's the complete opposite of his behaviour in 48 Hours. His character has come so far.

Also. Love angst, and I love any mention of Rodney practically giving up on himself cause he can't live without John. We need more 'Rodney almost going into a hypoglycemic coma' fics. There aren;t anywhere near enough.
