Fandom, sometimes I don't understand you.
I've yet to read a single Avengers fic prominently featuring Darcy Lewis that doesn't remark on the size of her breasts. Sometimes it's a throwaway sentence, but it's always boobs this, tits that, and-then-Darcy-flashed-Loki-and-saved-the-day.
Just. Why?
Is this some feminine liberation thing? All hail the female breast? Because if so, I'd like to see more mention of Jane Foster's smaller breasts, for I'm sure they're very pretty. Or Natasha Romanova's - hey, the woman wears a catsuit. She could probably kill you with a nipple. Noteworthy, yes?
Or is this a pointing-out of prominent bodyparts? In that case, there are far too many slash fics that don't mention Clint's ass even once. Or Thor's arms. Or Steve's... everything.
Because I'm sure this can't be fandom's way of picking a random feature as a shortcut to make a character instantly recognisable. Tony Stark: wears a goatee. Natasha Romanoff: has red hair. Darcy Lewis: has breasts. Surely not.
I mean, really, fandom? Really? Couldn't you at least pick the glasses? They used to work for Radek Zelenka.
