- Writing used to be a habit but it's not anymore and it's making me sad, so, prompt me! But, let's make a game out of it because I'm bored and the weekend is long. So, here's what I'd like you to do:
1. Pick a fandom. The fandoms you may pick from are these: SGA (or Boa vs. Python or Thoughtcrimes), Merlin, Sherlock Holmes (Canon, 2009 movie or the BBC series), or the X-Men movies (except Wolverine). Also Buffy, Dark Angel, Dexter, Discworld, Dragon Ball, Dresden Files, House M.D. (up to season 3), How I Met You Mother (up to season 4), Pet Shop of Horrors, Rome, Skip Beat!, Supernatural (up to season 4), The Borgias. These are fandoms where I know canon well enough to write fanfic for.
2. Pick another fandom. Any fandom that's not on the list above, except bandom and RPF. I don't like bandom, nor RPF. Also, there has to be a wikipedia entry or something similar on it so I can find out what you're on about (you may link to a source if you want to help me out, but you don't have to).
3. Prompt a crossover or fusion. Like, I dunno, "SGA/Fushigi Yûgi: while researching for his third PhD, Rodney McKay gets sucked into a magical book. Inside, he discovers that he's the priest of Janus, destined to rediscovere the sacred city of Atlantis. But is that really more important than getting into the pants of that hot young(ish) warrior, John?"
Or, you know. Something like that.
tl;dr: pick a fandom a know, pick a fandom I don't know, and mash the two together. Maybe I'll manage a snippet! (The sheer enticement, I know.)
