(no subject)
Well this past weekend was interesting. I'll spare the details, but i got a final shove tp push me past the breaker, if you will. Should be smooth sailing from here on out. :)
I am pretty burned out from work. worked 40 hours last. only worked 20 this week and i hated it the whole time i was there. I am really starting to resent selling stuff. Oh, i was bold though, or so everyone says. The big store GM asked me on wednesday if i could work friday, since it will be busy, being a national holiday of morn and all. Anyway, i was very honest and up front and just told her that I was burned out, and that i really needed the time off, so i couldn't do it. And everyone was floored, because that apparently took brass or something. i dunno, its whatever. Oh, and she knows my name too! See, thats big cause she doesn't know ANYONE'S name! seriously, she is slick, she'll take a quick peak at the name tag before saying anything. But me, she calls me Robert, ie my first name, and all, so she actually knows who i am lol. not sure if thats agood thing or not, but its probably just because she was the one wwho interviewed me...
Ugh, its raining and T-storms all weekend. sux, cause i was going to go up to the beach for a day or two, i need it. But oh well, next week perchance...
My creative side has taken hold over me as of late, and because of this, i'll soon have a new LJ where i post all my musings. i'll keep everyone updated...
On a sad note, my grandfather is in ICU. Apparently he had a stroke or something while he was up in Atlantic City last weekend. Baffled the doctors a bit, couldn't see or hear, and was puking up blood for a bit. They have since determined it to be a stroke, and apparently he is having trouble swallowing. This is a problem, because he is refusing a feeding tube. So even though you can get some nourishment intravienously(IV's), without actual food intake, you will eventually starve. So i guess time will tell. At first, he never wanted a quad-bipass on his heart, but he changed his mind and evetually had it, so we shall see.... =C
