(I was actually spoiled the result by a dumbass girl at the office whose mouth has no filter and assumed I already knew - even though the results wouldn't be shown here until late evening! I was all, "OH HELL NO YOU DIDNT BITCH :OOO" and now we're not talking.)
YES IDOL IS SRS BSNS.
ANYWAY.
I can't say I was TOTALLY SHOCKED ala Simon Cowell (or Kris himself, lol) when they announced Kris as the winner because I had a feeling all those Adam fawning will have a backlash eventually. Stupid judges going on and on and stupid EW placing him on their cover. Apparently a lot of Danny fans migrated to Kris camp? Let's face it, Kris is the overall all-American dude with cute face, nice voice, perfect packageable image for all the tweens who love dudes with guitars so I can understand why he won. Besides, Adam polarises a lot of people, but maybe the Idol stage is too small for him anyway. LOOK AT HIM PERFORMING WITH KISS. NOW THAT PEOPLE, IS A ROCK STAR.
At least like Iris said, he won't have to sing that lame coronation song!

LOL YOU CAN GO HIGHER, YOU CAN GO DEEPER. I'm so glad they fixed the key for Kris though, the studio version isn't as cringe-inducing as the live version.
I think in the end Adam already has all the attention he needed (which is why he went on Idol in the first place), and Kris kinda needed the win more to really put him above the rest of the guitar-strumming-songwriters pack out there. But it would have been nice to see Adam being crowned because I really think he deserved it. Being an idol runner-up just isn't that amazing, you know?
OH WELL. HE IS STILL #1 FOR ME.

THE PERFORMANCE FINALE WAS PRETTY EPIC, Y/Y? Kiss, Queen, Santana, Jason Mraz, Black Eyed Peas, among others. And the Top 13 guys and girls gave it all they had, which was great. I'm gonna miss the hilarity every week after this, omg.
