http://lastexile.wikia.com/wiki/Lavie_Head Personality:
Lavie is a moody, outspoken girl. She's not afraid to express herself, even if what she has to say may get her into serious trouble. She'll yell at people, hit them, sob when she's upset...she holds nothing back. It's just who she is. She's the kind of girl who gives everything she does her all, and tries to remain optimistic as best she can. She keeps her sights set on her goals and aspirations, letting nothing get in her way.
She keeps her mind set on one thing, though, and that's her and Claus's dream to fly through the grand stream in their vanship. It's what she's been working towards since they were little. Being a vanship navigator is something she loves, and the vanship lifestyle is the kind of life she wants to live. The sky to her is freedom, and flying through the grand stream is--to her--the ultimate form of that freedom. Not only that, it's doing something no one else has done before, and finishing what her and Claus's fathers had been trying to accomplish before their untimely death.
Lavie is also very prideful. Her skills as a navigator, her father, her dreams and her mechanical prowess are all things she's proud of. Her pride in those things is what keeps her going and keeps her headed towards her dreams. She's also very protective of things she values, and gets upset whenever others try to interfere or impinge on her 'territory'.
Lavie isn't a fighter. Combat? Definitely not her thing. She sees fighting--especially fighting in a vanship--to be horrible, and doesn't want to take part in any way shape or form. And while she will throw things and argue with others, actual *fighting* makes her uncomfortable. She just wants to fly, to be free, and fighting isn't something that fits into that lifestyle.
Ultimately, Lavie is headstrong, moody, and can be difficult to get along with, but she's a good kid who cares about the people close to her.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ Lavie is excellent with anything mechanical. Really, it's one of her biggest assets, and something she's very proud of. She taught herself everything she knows about vanships, and is ranked with the best of the best. So yeah, big strength there.
+ She's generally a good problem solver. She has to be, working with machines and the like.
+ Lavie is very loyal. She'll stick with her friends and do everything she can to help them.
+ Determination is another big strength of hers. She's not one to give up, and will pursue her goals no matter what stands in her way.
+/- PRIDE. Her pride is something that helps her push towards her goals, but it's also something that gets in the way and blinds her to things that are important to people.
- STUBBORN. She's incredibly stubborn, and it kind of gets in the way of everything ever.
- Trust is something she's not all that great at. She tries to distance herself from people, because she doesn't want to lose them. It's been her and Claus for years, so letting others in is hard for her.
- Her moodiness. She'll go from one emotion to the next faster than you can say pokemon, and while she is open with how she feels (unless it comes to the romantic end of things), throwing tantrums isn't really going to get her anywhere, and chucking things will do more harm than good.
- Temper. WATCH OUT FOR WRENCHES, because she will throw them. And yell at you. And then give you the silent treatment. Yep.
- She's not a fighter. She knows very little about combat, and doesn't care to participate.

Samples
First Person Sample: Y'know what? This place stinks. I mean, how can you guys even stand it? There's no vanships, or...or anything! All the waters great, but...
[ Her Skarmory, Claus, pops into view and tugs at her sleeve. She shakes him off. ]
Not now, Claus, I'm busy. [ ... ] I guess if it didn't take so long to get everywhere it wouldn't be so bad, but...Geez,why can't we just fly from town to town?
[ A sigh ]
Oh well, guess i'll just have to deal with it. I'll be heading to Violet soon, so if anyone wants to meet up there let me know and I'll keep an eye out for you.
Third Person Sample:
Lavie gave the door another good, hard kick. It didn't make a difference, of course, but she wasn't about to give up trying to get the person insides attention. After all, she had a thing or two to say to the woman who'd shoved her around claiming to be her mother.
"If you're gonna run around making claims like that, you should at least explain yourself!" There was no answer, just like there hadn't been an answer the last time, or the time before that. It was like yelling at a wall. She had to be able to hear her, though, which meant Lavie was...being ignored? Ugh. This was just a big, frustrating mess, wasn't it. So frustrating, that redhead kicked the door a few more times--for good measure. She knew she was making a scene, kicking and screaming like she was, but she didn't really care. She wanted answers. Her vanship. Claus. Heck, she'd even take the Silvana if it meant getting out of this confusing situation. But there was nothing familiar here, nothing she could do to escape....and it left her feeling angry and helpless.
She had been about to slam her fist against the door, but stopped inches from the wood and let it fall back to her side. The door wasn't budging, and 'Mom' wasn't going to come out any time soon, so it seemed stupid to keep going on like she was. But what was she supposed to do now? Sit here? She didn't like the thought of sitting around waiting for someone else' help, but she didn't know her way around. She didn't even know where she was.
She could feel tears welling up--from all the frustration and anger and helplessness--but she didn't try to hold them back. She just clenched her fists and cried.
"This isn't fair!"
