Mystic Messenger Roller Coaster of Feels
Haha. Oh man... So recently, I decided to pick up a the latest talked otome game, Mystic Messenger, on my phone... I am in a wild roller coaster ride I didn't know I signed up for.
I've already completed three routes getting the good endings for all three and I don't plan to go into the other two's routes as they don't interest me very much. The people's routes I went into were, played in this order, Zen, Jumin, and 707. I recommend playing in this order if you pick up this game and decide to play the same characters. It makes more sense story wise. If you do want to play all of them the recommended route is Zen, Jaehee, Yoosung, Jumin, and then 707.
So to start off with, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Zen. He is a great character. He flirts with you from the start and treats you like a princess. He's amazing. His route was sweet and sentimental but mostly sweet. I ended his route with such joy in my heart. I rank him number 2 out of the three.
Jumin's route on the other hand. WOW. If you're into dominating characters he may just be your thing. Jumin is the cold character if you will that warms up to as time passes. This route is full of anxiety and battle of emotions. I loved it because his character type is usually my cup of tea. I still rank him below Zen though even though Jumin fits all of my ideal fictional character likes. Zen just had something more that made me like him a lot. Probably the fact he treated me like a princess and was a gentleman throughout the whole route and was really sweet and happy.
AND THEN THERE'S THE HOMEWRECKER, 707. Jeez. I really thought Zen had stolen my heart until I played this guy's route. 707's character is pretty much the all-the-time-funny-happy-guy, but he's not. He actually has a lot more character too him and in his route you're definitely going to feel happy, anxious, sad, and all that jazz. Because of all the feelings this route put me through and my love of the character he made his way into number 1 out of my played routes. 707 is the true end of the game so his route fills in many gaps that the previous route left open and finishes the story by unlocking the bonus secret endings(extra story). The secret endings will put you on a wild ride that you will not be prepared for even though I'm warning you now. I WAS WARNED AND I STILL WASN'T PREPARED.
Overall game is 10/10. I love Cheritz's games and I hope they never stop making otome games that make my cry and fill me with emotions over fake boyfriends, haha.
