I have decided that all next week I am riding my bike, no matter what the darn thermometer says.
Yesterday and today are the coldest I've ever experienced - yesterday windchills were -25, today btwn -30 and -40 for the AM commute. BEFORE windchill this AM was -12. We're going (and hopefully staying) above zero around noon today.
i haven't been riding out of laziness, I've been taking the CTA. Screw the CTA. I waited for 15 mins for one bus this morning, then 10 more for the second bus that never came. I ended up walking over 3/4 of a mile in -30 degree weather, looking for a bus or cab or magic carpet that never came. It took as long as my bike ride would have, which makes me decide I'll just ride instead. Plus I am sick and tired of being on other people's schedules, I just want to run my time the way I want to. Ugh, rant over.
