[The video zooms out and the viewer can see Lavi, predictably lying down, on his bunk looking unnaturally solemn. It looks to be very early in the morning, there is a grayish light illuminating the room.

Well, I can't say exactly what the Noah are, even bein' a Bookman I've never been able to get close enough to record much information about them. I know the Noah are a family with "Noah genes," they're immortal through reincarnation, they all have some supernatural ability unique to them and these abilities relate to their names. Tyki told me he's the Noah of Pleasure and his ability is that he can "choose" what to touch. The Noah work with this weirdo in a mask and top-hat called the Millennium Earl and their goal is to lead the world to its death.

The Akuma are a creation of the Earl, they make up the bulk of his army. The core of an Akuma looks like a metal human skeleton, without a human body and soul--it's useless in this state--so the Earl goes out and he tricks people who are in mournin' over their dead loved ones. He tells these people he can resurrect their loved ones. Well what happens once the soul's been resurrected the Earl sticks it into the metal skeleton. Once that happens the soul falls under the control of the Earl. Then the Earl orders the Akuma to kill its resurrector and wear the skin so they can look normal. When the Akuma finally shed their skins, usually durin' battle against Exorcists, they don't look human at all. They look like monsters with unique abilities and their blood becomes poisonous to normal humans.

There are different levels of Akuma too, four that we know of and the higher the level the more human-like they look. The souls trapped inside become more twisted, but the only person who can see the human soul trapped in the Akuma is a kid called Allen. After seein' the twisted soul of a level four he vomited. So I guess it was pretty bad.

Then there are "converted" Akuma. One of our Exorcist Generals is a scientist. He can convert Akuma to resist the Earl's orders for a limited amount of time. If they revert to their murderous ways they automatically self-destruct, I think that was another one of the General's ideas.

Anyway, long-wided explanation.

Lead the world to it's death... there are people working against them, aren't there?

Those Akuma sound unsettling. Are those exoscists the only people who stand a chance fighting them?

All in all your world seems pretty dangerous.

Yeah, the Black Order was designed to combat the Earl and his Akuma army. We have Exorcists, Scientists, Finders and...Crow...I can't say I have any warm and fuzzy feelings about Crow though.

Well Exorcists aren't the only people who have a chance against the Akuma, but it's preferable that Exorcists do it. You see Akuma are powered by more than just a soul that deteriorates over time, they are powered by Dark Matter. The polar opposite of Dark Matter is a weapon that only those called Exorcists can use, Innocence. These are weapons we're born with...well most of us anyway. If Akuma are killed by anything other than Innocence then the Akuma's Dark Matter consumes the soul and the soul is lost forever. We don't want that, but sometimes it's unavoidable.

Yeah, until we can beat the Earl our world is very unsafe.

Why not? What's the problem with this... Crow?

...that would make it a problem, yes. I can see why you would not want those souls to be lost... It's a shame that somebody would use people's souls for such a purpose. Why end the world in the first place?

I wish I could help you out.

We just discovered that Crow has created a Third generation of Exorcist, human experiments. They created a hybrid Exorcist that's half-human and half-Akuma. I don't like it.

Yeah, it's a shame and what makes it worse is that you can't tell humans from Akuma so you're constantly on high alert. I don't know why the Earl wants to end the world, that's kind of a secret.

That's a nice sentiment, if I didn't think you'd be at risk tryin' to help I'd invite you to come on over. If somethin' happened to you I wouldn't want your girlfriend to be sad.

...I can see why that would be unsettling, yes.

Except for this ...Allen, I suppose. But it isn't much different from being in the company of people you don't trust, really. Not that that makes it any better.

Well I'm a pretty able fighter if I do say so myself, but... I've got my responsibilities here, anyway.

Yeah, Allen has this special eye...this cursed pentacle eye that was given to him by an Akuma. Nah it doesn't make it much better, if it's just normal people you don't trust then you don't have to worry, but if you think of everyone as an Akuma then you worry that anyone could attack you.

Maybe one day I'll get to see your fighting talents. That'd be fun.

It's possible to give someone an eye just like that?

...is that a challenge?

Well I don't think it's very common, Allen is the only one who has an eye like that...that I know of. He was touched by a curse...but Allen's always been a little special too.

Could be~♥

I live in Cephiro. And you? It doesn't really sound like Earth...

Cephiro...I'll remember that. It's Earth alright, but I learned a little while back that there are many different kinds of Earth on this community. Maybe mine is one of them.

Huh. Well, I guess there are some more different than others, but now I know. So what's your guess on how long you'll be busy?

Yeah, I didn't know either, until I made it off world, how different they could be even if they're the same.
