seajay22Did you have a imaginary friend when you were young?
actually, i had two of them. rainbow brite and punky brewster.
see, i had a very active imagination, but i also looked up to alot of things, and felt it was easier to borrow others concepts that i had admired so much.
so me, punky, and rainbow brite, would take these great big refrigerator boxes that my parents had from their shop, and draw inside and make houses. me and punky would talk about henry and pretend to run up the stairs that i had drawn on the wall.
i think those two were the only invisible ones.
i had more "freinds", and in a way they were imaginary, yet tangible.
you see, i had gotten this stuffed bunny, named lisa, at a yard sale when i was 5 and she went with me everywhere. we talked, played games, and eventually she needed a family, so i found more freinds for her, and they had families, and so on, and so forth. i still have lisa bunny, but she got so worn out, my mom had to make her a new body and re-stuffed her.
oh, but it doesnt stop there.
i was also i creative little girl. i needed freinds, so i drew them. yup, i took paper, and crayons, and markers, and i drew an entire KINGDOM of paper bunnies that i cut out and sat on couches and talked to and ate snacks with. they all had their own storylines. it was like a great big paper bunny soap opera. we even had a princess. she was real pretty, so i colored her dress with my favorite purple crayon. it was the most amazing shade of purple, but even since that one crayon in particular, i have yet to find the same shade, even in the boxes of 500000 colors! oh well.
when i got a little bit older (we wont say what age) i graduated into celebrities, and took posters from magazines, cut out their heads, and then BAM! they were my freinds too! oh, the fun times i had with my new kids on the block poster...
so yes, to answer the question, i lived in a box with 2 invisible people, and had a kingdom of colored paper bunnies.
