so...yeah...
yesterday i hit up the mva and barely passed my driving test. the end of a 3 year ordeal. woo.
however, i am apparently not allowed to drive the saturn until i have had 10 hours of stick shift practice with my grandfather.
this would make rather a lot of sense, seeing as i took the test in an automatic, but the family seems to forget that i when i first learned to drive, the saturn was the only car around and that i did my in-cars in a stick. also, i totally drove myself to the bank and the bakery yesterday with no transmission related troubles. boo.
i would also like to metion the lack of lens restriction on my license. my first permit, the one from september 2002, required me to wear glasses, but then it expired. when i went to get a new one in august 2004, i totally passed the vision test. this would not be nearly as ironic if i had not gone directly from the mva to the eye doctor for a pre-college checkup, where he told me that my eyesight had deteriorated some. in any case, i hate my glasses, and therefore i win.
