Another couple of days have gone by and it's been interesting. I spent another evening at MOA with my roomies and stayed pretty much unscathed.
I had soda there, a first for like four months. I hardly ever drink soda and I never call it "pop". I had a friend about three years ago that called it "soda" and ever since I've called it the same. He was from the south, if thats any indication as to why he called it that.
That was a wierd thought.
Anyways, I've felt pretty great the last couple of days and have enjoyed numerous bike rides in and around downtown. I took tons of pictures with my camera phone, but of course they turned out a bit grainy. Still, it was fun just to ride around and imagine myself as one of those photographers for finding movie locations.
There were so many people yesterday smoking outside. Resaurants, office buildings, banks, stores, and bus stops. I know most of these places were already smoke-free, but some reason it just seemed more obvious.
I was in some jazz bar in St. Paul last night and met my roommates co-workers. I wasn't there long, but it was really cool. Smoke-free, live jazz, and lots of open room and some couches. We left and I was a bit sad. I love jazz and I wanted to see the next act. Grrrr.
I have been watching three straight seasons of the Flintstones on DVD. I like the classic one-background animation. You know, where Fred and Barney will be walking past the same bush and house twenty times in a single scene. And the fact that this used to be fuckin' hilarious to people in the day. I find it humerous, but I like it more for the esthetically and minimalistically pleasing. I sometimes really want stills from the show. The show is romantic in a way that classic jazz and black and white films are. Plus, I used to watch this show all the time when I was a kid. Good programming in my opinion.
I gots ta get goin'.
