Ridiculously busy with planning my move, getting things wrapped-up for school, getting things arranged in Florida, figuring out what I have where, and just pissing away time in general.

I deleted the voice entry because it annoys me to hear my own voice. Not a big deal, but this is my journal, and I'll delete as I see fit : p

I am envious (like you wouldn't believe) of you and what you are doing January second.
I just told my mother Sunday morning, that is what I want to do more than almost anything.
She said I was crazy because the two days before, we watched programs about shark attacks.
My GOD I am so envious.

And, uh, by the way, I liked your voice post. =P
'See' you in February! {I hope you are well, as well.}

I look forward to it, too. It's just turned seasonably cold here, and that makes me want to be in the hot sun and cooler water all the more. A friend went scuba diving a liitle while back, and it's his pictures that cinched the deal for me. http://www.philadelphiariders.com/gallery/60-Feet-Under

If I can take some pics, i will do so. I still have photos from the Florida museum of Natural History to post that you would enjoy. One photo is me standing in the jaws of a long-extinct shark. I am 6' tall, and reaching up, I still can't touch the top part of the jaws. Biiiiig fishy, niiiice fishy...

Your vacation plans sound divine. Where in Florida will you be living?

I'll be living in Gainesville. It's a nice city, actually. It was designed from the outset for growth, so it doesn't exactly look like a city, it has a bicycle highway system (but not as good as the Pittsburgh-to-D.C. bicycle railroute), and enough culture to keep me happy. University of Forida is there, and I think that helps considerably.

It's going to be very different from what I'm used to. The people are calmer, nicer. As we have discussed before about the North East Corridor Mentality, I will have to tone that down. A lot. That's fine by me, I never liked being that way.

The upshot is a warm January and February, and the summer heat doesn't bother me. I look forward to the pool : )

Ah, warm winters. I fantasize about that often this time of year. Minnesota winters are wretched. Some Minnesotans like them but I certainly don't and I am constantly hoping that something magical happens and we have to move to San Diego or Crete or something.

People will get used to your northeastern ways. You might have to speak slower, though. :)
