Spun Silver Stump

So there's this stripped-down, bark-less tree stump along the path around the lake which has wonderful patterns in it that I really like.

The first one should be used for book binding, like marbled end papers.

Ooooh, I like them. If I didn't know that was wood, I might think it was a cliff-face, all crumpled and swirled by the earth's natural forces.

i am going to be very tree-hugging and say that i like them all *best*. It's like children: you can't pic a fave, because they all have their own unique and wonderful qualities. I have to say, though, that some of them remind me of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" I guess this would be "Starry Night, by Tree". Sort of like "Leaf, by Niggle". Yet different.
