Happy St.Patty's Day

So today is the day when EVERYONE is Irish. Go out, drink, make merry, and be safe.

I haven't updated this thing in a while because Steve and I have been killer busy. We bought a house out in Suffield, CT. The closing was back on January 27th, and since then, every weekend has consisted of painting or cleaning or a renovation project or furniture shopping or planning... this whole being a grown up and having a mortgage thing is for the dogs. But the house is slowly but surely beginning to feel like our own. We've gotten rid of the gold paint (think of the color gold that some candy companies wrap their candy in... like gold foil gold) that permeated the livingroom and hallway and toned it down with a very light beige. The master got changed from an old 1960's yellow to a soothing sage. Soon the trim will be replaced, we'll have some of the wood floors finished and have the bedrooms carpeted, and we might even change the color of the robin's egg blue room and the hot pink room. These people weren't afraid of color, even if they chose the most intrusive color palate ever....

Work is going. Too many changes are happening, and most people are jumping ship, and they are doing a poor job of hiring new people. I keep saying that I'll ride it out, things can only get better, but I am just spent. Its just not a healthy work environment.

So ideally I'll keep updating, let y'all know what I am up to. We'll see.........
