Let Me Count the Ways...
I loved this episode, in list format (we'll see if it actually works. I might forget I'm listing things halfway through) I'm not even sure that my list makes sense. BUT I DON'T CARE. This is what it is.
1. "Abigail Fernley" is my new codename. JUST SO YOU KNOW.
2. Henry's Tech RV
3. "Whaddya mean collateral" - sassy Grace was fantastic.
4. "Do I look small town to you?"
5. "Woah, there's a blast from the past." "Wow, you sure know a lot about those cameras." I LOVE KATE IN THIS EPISODE.
6. Shortened credits music (maybe because everyone hated the new music?)
7. I even didn't mind Will's uselessness and inability to be a convincing bank robber.
8. REAL AMANDA VOICE. I was seriously, SERIOUSLY obsessed with it.
9. "Rule Number One: No Heroes."
10. Will is kind of lolarious when he's trying to be an intimidating bank robber.
11. "Hey Bonnie, Bonnie & Clyde." LOVE HENRY
12. "I'd rather die than betray that sacred patch" "Really?" The only thing missing were Will's highlighting vision that helped us identify clues. And I think I might name my future dog Taco.
13. Walter from SG-1! How could I forget to list him earlier.
14. Bank skank. "He killed his last girlfriend. We still haven't found all the pieces." "Really!?"
15. "Why are you taking hostages?" "We're lonely."
16. "Ass...seedle...col..." "Acetylcholinesterase" "Yeah, took the word right out of my mouth!" + HENRY FACE.
17. "I think I know your next question." "And I think I already know your answer." Of the things I love most, it's the Helen/Henry friendship. It is like my favorite.
18. "I love a good scavenger hunt."
19. Totally guessed this lady was pregnant. (So what I loved about it was that I now can identify fake TV pregnancies with alarming ease.)
20. "I know the playbook. They wrote it for people like me." "Cop?" "Robber!"
21. "Long line at the donut shop." "Two tickets to the next Eddie Izzard show." Love every time Kate is on the phone.
22. Bank Skank strikes again! "What was it like?" "It was awesome. Sit down."
23. Kate on the phone again. Poor cop. Has no idea what he's dealing with.
24. "It frightens me that we're co-workers." "Good."
25. The fact that Helen Magnus is so BAMF that she is aware of when to use her "fake" accent and when not to.
26. "Come on, sweet pea...Did you guys just..." "Yeah."
27. "Oh, wait. Me!? No, no no no. I'm the geek, you're the doc. I do tech, you do drugs."
28. I like that I was kept guessing about who had the thing inside them. I thought it was the bank skank, because the old lady was too obvious, but for sure it was either bank skank, guy who got shot, Grace, or Walter from SG-1. Anyway. This was a well-crafted episode.
29. "Originally used to seal battle wounds in the field." Man, Helen Magnus. How BAMF are you? (So BAMF, is the answer)
30. I love when Helen punches people. I can't even deal with how much I love it.
31. Helen/Guy Who Got Shot. I shipped it. I DON'T CARE.
32. "Smells like root beer. Hope that's a good thing."
33. "Bedtime, baby."
34. "Just sit still, don't make any trouble. Okay, buddy?"
35. "I knew that British accent was fake!"
36. "You remind me of my nephew...he's full of crap too."
37. "I gotta pee." "Your turn."
38. "Just leave my Christmas fund alone." LOVE SASSY OLD LADIES. It's what I aspire to.
39. Poor George. Walter just wants to get back to the SGC.
40. "The famous Helen Magnus." + Helen's knowing smile.
41. Everyone involved with the Sanctuary is so damn awesome. Even Will. There was no one I disliked this episode. I LOVE THIS EPISODE.
42. "Gestation vapors." I don't know if that's a thing, but it made me laugh.
43. "It appears we underestimated our competition." What a poker face, Helen Magnus. WHAT A POKER FACE.
44. Love even more that Helen and Kate had this all planned out and Will was just playing catch up. (Will is so the Daniel [of SG-1] of this show for me)
45. "Who says I don't love it now?"
46. "C'mon, Hank, please." Love Hank as a nickname for Henry.
47. "Who's your daddy?"
48. That phermoplis (I don't know what it is) (I also thought they were saying "Thermopolis" the first time around and I was all, "Hey, what do you think this is? The Princess Diaries?") is pretty awesome.
49. EMPTY GUN. KATE WINS THE DAY.
50. Love the ending moments at the Sanctuary where Helen tells them all how awesome they are.
51. "Cheetos it is."
52. "Her name is Taco." "What the hell kind of name is Taco?"
53. "You had it covered...right down to the empty gun in your waistband."
54. "There's just one thing that bothers me. All that money, and you didn't even take any...Isn't that depressing?" "Terribly." LOVE THEIR FRIENDSHIP GROWTH.
