So...
What's new out there, dear LJers? Are there any of you left? This place is like a ghost town. My flist is 90% community posts nowadays. I don't know where everyone ran off to (seems like mostly Dreamwidth or Tumblr?), but they sure did leave fast.
Now, you may be asking "What have you been up to in the 6 months since your last post?" And to that I will respond "What am I ever up to? School and work." Oh, and I moved about 3 weeks ago and it destroyed my soul. I moved last November (did I tell you that? I'm pretty sure I did). But my sister's stupid boyfriend decided "hey, wouldn't it be fun if I went and got my PhD in Israel? How's next March sound?" And then, after we had finally found a very nice place full of nice, updated appliances and high counters, we had to say goodbye to it. So we've given it up and are instead in an older place with the tiniest kitchen you've ever seen. And it's only 2 bedrooms instead of 3, like our old place, so all of his stuff is ALL OVER THE FUCKING PLACE. All. Over. I am not a fan.
Oh, in other news, at the end of July, we adopted two kittens! They're sisters and are now about 8-9 months old and are named Meeko and Raja. Also they are adorable.
Meeko has the green collar and Raja's in the pink. This was taken a day or two after we got them. They've since decided collars are for losers and have made repeated efforts to remove them (and succeeded several times!), so we don't make them wear them anymore. Also, they are both like 9lbs now. Either that or my bathroom scale is lying to me.
Two days after Thanksgiving, I decided to make the plunge and cut all my hair off! ...Okay, not all of it. But it had finally gotten long enough that I could donate it, so I did! And I know you want to see pictures of that, right.
Lololol, I took that picture in the car literally right before I went to get it cut. XD;;
...And after! It feels so much lighter now and doesn't take 8 hours to dry, which is super nice. Also, no tangles, yay! At first I was kind of torn on it (even though the cut is almost exactly the same as a cut I had back in 2008), but the longer I have it, the more I like it. Plus, I've gotten lots of compliments from my coworkers, so that's always nice. :D
This Thursday is my last final exam, and after that I will be driving back home for the holidays and will return to my cluttered, tiny-kitchen'ed apartment the first week of January. And I will once again be working at my old store, which is nice because the people there actually like me. ;~~; I miss them a lot.
I don't even really have anything else to share, except maybe that if any of you haven't done so already, you should probably just go ahead and follow me on tumblr, seeing as that's pretty much the only place I'm active these days. So don't be surprised if you don't see me post over here again for another 6 months (or more).
