Things I meant to do long ago...
Hey, did you guys know I'm still alive? It's true! It's been nearly a full month since I last updated my LJ because...I am lazy and update things elsewhere (namely tumblr and twitter) in the interim. Also I am boring.
Since my last update, I returned home, started up my spring semester, went back to work, and got my new glasses! Honestly, that's really pretty much it. Oh, and I started two new tumblrs because I am a glutton for punishment and obviously didn't feel stretched thin enough. :p
Also (this is boring news), I've been struggling for the past month trying to keep my poor little strawberry plants alive. They survived the New Year's freeze just fine, but when I finally came back home to them, they had amassed quite an infestation of spider mites. :/ And then they had some little slug/worm-like things that seemed to be slowly killing it. So after trying a somewhat successful home remedy for the mites, I sucked it up and bought some actual pesticide to use when they still weren't looking good. I just put it on there for the first time two days ago, so we'll see if I continue to lose leaves. I feel really bad for them. One of the plants has lost all of its leaves with the exception of about 3 tiny baby shoots. I'll be so sad if they die. ;___;
In other other news, I'm still mad at Barnes & Noble (and UPS/USPS) for the 14 books I ordered in December and of which I only received 2. I won't give you the whole long story, but let's just say it took 3 calls to post offices in two cities and 3 calls (one of which took 77 minutes) to B&N customer support to get everything straightened out. And luckily I got an email last night saying that 10 of the 12 books are on their way--and to the correct address this time! Seriously, I know I work for them, but this whole experience has kind of soured me on buying from them. But I suppose anyone would feel that way if it took a full month and a half to get an order. Thank god they were just leisure reading and not books I need for school!
Anyway, that's about all I've got going on at the moment. I won't bore you with what's going on at school and work. I'll just go eat some pizza rolls, watch the Daily Show, and enjoy today's rainy weather from the warm and cozy inside of my apartment~ ^__^
