Worst. Test. Ever.
There were 25 multiple choice questions and 5 calculation questions. I spent so long on the multiple choice section (because some of the questions were pretty involved) that I ran out of time to do the rest.
So I skipped 4 of the 5 calculation questions as a result.
The calculation questions are worth 5 points a piece.
Also, I started crying out of frustration over my complete inability to do any sort of chemistry calculations in a timely enough manner that I wouldn't have trouble finishing the entire test.
The best I could possibly hope for on this test is already an 80.
Since I'm absolutely certain I didn't ace the multiple choice section (thought I did pretty well on it on the first test and ended up getting a 51), I'm guessing my grade for this test will probably be in the neighborhood of a 53.
There is pretty much no way that everyone else bombed the test so bad that the grading curve would make a 53 a C.
I'll probably be dropping this class next week (even though that also means dropping the lab...in which I actually have an A). I really hate to do this, but I just don't see any of this getting easier as we head into the second half of the semester. I apparently don't even understand the first half of the things we've done. It's some consolation that pretty much everyone else I know is struggling in this class too, but that doesn't make me feel any better about my performance. :/
At least I'm pretty sure I aced my Japanese midterm. And now I'm going to make steak to try to cheer myself up.
