Whoopsie
Oh... Did I forget to mention I'm alive? Because I am. My vacation was absolutely wonderful and I wish I wasn't back in Florida right now. (How ironic - most people come to Florida for vacation). I know no one wants to read another boring "this is what happened" post, but I'll try to keep it as brief as possible. I'll even use an LJ cut because I love you guys so much.
Day 1 (August 16): Got on my first plane in 16 years. Didn't die. Met Cass-wifey at the airport in Newark. New Jersey roads = teh stupid. Met her parents, uncle and aunt. Can't remember much else. I was tired. Did we go to the mall that day? Watched the TeniPuri movie. Tezuka killed all the dinosaurs. T__T
Day 2 (August 17): Woke up way too early. It was chilly. Crazy new england weather. But OMG hills! Hills are exciting. Went to... I think we went to the mall. Went to Hopatcong State Park (that's the name, right?) and was weirded out by people swimming in the lake. WTF? You don't swim in lakes. Watched various TeniPuri musicals. Yay Dream Live!
Day 3 (August 18): Got up way too early again and thought I was going to die. Drove to Baltimore. Saw more hills and a fancy bridge! (Shush. I don't get out. Like...ever.) Made it to Baltimore in tact and met Moff! Sleepy, sleepy Moff. Baltimore is an ugly city. Went and stood in line for an hour to get our con badges, then headed to the airport to pick up Emi and Nori. Cass does not understand the word 'stop'. Silly wifey. Also, oranges and cigars hold new meaning now. New, scary meaning... ~_~
Day 4 (August 19): Went to con! Got to see Alley and Lex again! Was briefly introduced to... No wait. I wasn't introduced to anyone. Nevermind. Surprisingly, I didn't buy much. Just a little Ryoma clip for my phone and the Loveless animation artbook (Mind Map).
Day 5 (August 20): Bummed around the con with Cass and Alley again in Dream Live!cosplay. I was too lazy to take pics. It disappoints me. I only bought 3 little pins: 2 peach!kitties and a kitty!burger (gave one to Cass and one to Alley). Wifey gave me a sailor!Ryoma plushie! ...Holding an orange! Declared OoishiMomoRyo my new favorite OT3. Did a lot of walking around downtown Baltimore and borrowing peoples' jackets 'cause Persimmon is always cold. Was sad about the impending end of con. T_T
Day 6 (August 21): Last day of con. Took Alley to the airport. I was sad and cried. T_T Bought a few more things (Momo clip for my phone, MomoRyo doujin by a circle that's not Mo, Matsuguri/Atene, and a TeniPuri grab bag filled with fun things. ...Some of which I gave to wifey.). Con ended at 4, so we saw Moff off and drove back home. OMG 7 hours. @_@ Much bonding was done, so that was good.
Day 7 (August 22): The 'day of rest'. Drove up to Mitsuwa and Shisendo (was that the name of it?). I was all *__* over all the cool Japanese things. Bought some Koala no March and some sugar stars, plus a bottle of peach Calpico to try. Found a few pics of the D-Boys in the music mags at Shisendo and found Loveless manga, too! Headed over to teh pr0n shop where the muses got some bad ideas. I think we went home after that? >_>
Day 8 (August 23): Drove to Atlantic City! ...Always turned on, said the sign. I wish I had gotten a picture. Walked down the boardwalk. (NJ beaches smell funny.) Learned donuts and funnel cake don't constitute a meal. @_@ Lost $65 playing the slots. T__T Tried to plot for the PT!Muses after visiting Babies 'r Us. (We're so silly.) Ordered Chinese that took forever to get delivered. Threatened to call 1-800-lava-line multiple times. Did not succeed.
Day 9 (August 24): Slept in for the first time my whole vacation (10:30. -__-) Left the hotel and decided (on a whim) to go to Philadelphia. ...Just 'cause. But we missed the exit for Philly and decided to go to Staten Island instead. Bo~ring. So we drove through Brooklyn! ...And Queens! And eventually found Flushing all by ourselves! I got to meet the hot dog guy and see the little store of cute stuff and check out the Tai Pan bakery. OMG so cheap! Tai Pan is love! <3 Ended up driving through Manhattan and 2 tunnels to get home. My poor wifey. T_T You shouldn't have had to drive through that. Got Dairy Queen and moped about me having to leave.
Day 10 (August 25): Got up and moped more. Packed my stuff up and headed to the airport. Very, very sad. T______T Didn't wanna leave my wifey. I think we were the only sad people in the whole airport. Cried lots and hugged lots. Left at 2:45 and saw several rainbows from the plane, as well as the little penis of New Jersey. Forgot to take my Dramamine. ~_~ Landed at 4:55 and was sad to be back in Florida. Am still sad. Want wifey back. **grabby hands**
But urrr~ It is late and I have work tomorrow. If - for some crazy reason - you think I should elaborate on something I did, just tell me to and maybe I will.
A~nd that about sums it up. I wish I had an OT3 icon, but I don't. ...And I'm lazy. All I have is OoishiMomo (or Tuti/MoriEiji). Good enough! Peace out dudes and dudettes. <3
