Sooo... How's it goin'?
I haven't checked my f-list yet. I'm sitting here picking some really awesome, yet past-it nail polish off my index finger and having what may or may not be a hot flash.
Latest news:
*My nail polish collection is thriving. Sally Beauty rules my universe!
*Green card arrived while I was in FW (just got back Tuesday night), and I'm official - at least until 2014 when .. whatever ... something.. happens. I dunno, it has a date in 2014, I'll deal with that drama when it gets closer.
*Bro in law, Tony, and family are leaving Okinawa, and moving to... CALIFORNIA!!! YAY!!! You know what is more yay? They are near Sacramento. More yay than that? Chris is talking about driving down there! If Jenny and Day still read LJ I hope they bouncing right now. I know I did. I haven't posted in FB since I found out.
*Lost my glasses right after arrival in FW, and ended up having to go get a new pair. Dr found a cataract starting in my right eye - something I will need surgery for in a few years. I'm not amused.. and I'm TOTALLY not old enough to have this happen!
*No news from Nor. I've tried calling a few times, and she's never home. She hasn't returned the calls, so ... maybe she's up with her sister again, or something.
*We dug and started a veggie garden in the back yard (FW), and all was well for two weeks. Then frost hit.. a last frost after summertime heat (their frost date: 15 May). Bugger. Killed my tomatoes, and the beans and zucchini I started, which were doing SO well. then the frickin' cute fluffy bunnies ate my spinach and peas. *sigh* Chris has since fenced the garden, and re-planted some stuff. I proposed we make a bunny garden. He laughed at me.
*Bunny and I are heading south for a couple of weeks on the 15th. She has a girlfriend in PA she's finally going to get to meet in person, and another one in Florida. I'm pretty excited to finally meet these girls in person. Bunny has known them for a full 1/3 of her life <---- perspective. I'll also be seeing my girlfriend, Sharon. Gonna make some beverages and hang out. One of the more exciting bits is that I will finally be able to show Bunny the ocean! Lakes are nice.. but the ocean has STUFF... little critters. One of the things I love best about travel is the new things you get to see - flora and fauna... Sharon's husband plants a mean veggie garden too. Can't wait to have some of their signature meals.
*We'll be back down to FW beginning of July for about 7 weeks - until just after my second anniversary. Both kids will be coming. We'll probably do a few short road trips. Last year we got to the Dayton Airforce Museum (that was SO cool!), but didn't get to the caves in southern Ohio, so maybe this year? We also have a new restaurant to surprise Boy with. He loves Thai!
I'm going to go Sim a bit before my pills kick in. See you soon.
