I was watching with bated breath for the Eliot/Hardison kiss, because it was coming. The second episode was so INTENSE! I squee when things happen, so every other minute was like 'eeeee' with my grandma sitting there going 'WTF'. :P And of course the second episode was balling as well. I didn't anticipate liking it that much because FIRST EP, but then there was Nate/Sophie and art and murder and.... *happy sigh* So yes. My show is perfect. I'm glad I finally got to watch this, lol.
IMO, the E/H/P episode was the best episode of Leverage, ever. I read a television critic's review slamming it and saying that the S/N was the better one, keeping the tone light and comic and not trying to be a Bruckheimer movie.
Well, everyone's entitled to their own opinion (I guess), but I completely disagree. Ep 5.09 of Leverage was what I wanted that show to be from the start. I have stuck with it, because I think the characters (except for Sophie) are fantastic, and yes, I enjoy the humor. But the writing has been painfully bad at times and the story lines ludicrous. This episode demonstrated what these actors can really do, and I really hope that when the show returns in November, we see more of this.
Oh, and I think I fell in love with Christian Kane all over again.
