I have been meaning to write this post for a week. I finally put it on my to do list and made a list of things I wanted to talk about while I should have been working. I am clearly a winner. Hi to all of my new friends, by the way. I'm usually not this flaky. (That might be a lie.)
Mostly I've just been super boring lately. My summer is not exciting at all, which is kind of good and kind of not? I mean, bad things have been happening, but it isn't anything I can't deal with. I haven't been able to talk for over a week now for reasons unknown to me. What do I do for laryngitis, you guys? Like, I'm not even sick other than that.
I'm also doing what I do every summer and say that I'm going to be healthy. It's going...okayish so far? I'm definitely eating better and working out more. I have time to swim, which is my absolute favorite thing in the world. And I started Couch to 5k because I fucking hate running, but the dog is happy because I take her on the walks. I do think that movie popcorn shouldn't count though because movie popcorn is the best even though it's like seventeen thousand calories per piece.
Which brings me to the fact that I finally saw How To Train Your Dragon today. It was excellent and I would like a kittydragon to fly me around campus. It was a really great movie experience even though the theater was packed with kids. Regal and Muvico are both doing this summer free/cheap kids movies, which means tons of camps and stuff. But whatever, free movie, even at ass o clock in the morning.
Pretty much the only other stuff I've been doing is geek stuff. Mafia, roleplaying, staring at
Cobie's face as my desktop background. I kind of want to get involved in Avengers fandom, but like...I don't actually ship any of the slash or really Clint/Natasha all that much so I feel like I would have no place there. STORY OF MY LIFE.
I did start playing DCU Online, which is a MMORPG like World of Warcraft and it's SUPER SUPER FUN even though I suck so hard at it. Like, I am the worst. DCUO is free so you guys should all create your own superheroes and be on a superhero team with me so I can hide my sucking behind everyone else's not sucking.
The only other thing I thought I'd mention is TV stuff. I am working on catching up with ALL THE THINGS. I wish I was a person who could drop shows without feeling like a bad person because there's a lot of shows that I don't think I'd miss too much if I didn't watch or if I didn't catch up and yet I'm doing it anyway. Like, I don't think I can get through like ten episodes of Dair but I want to watch Leighton Meester's face and Gossip Girl is ending anyway so *headdesk*. But I'm going on a downloading spree and filling up my external harddrive so I can take a lot of stuff to college to watch, so if you would like to recommend a show for me to put in my to watch folder, I would love to hear your recs. If it's on Netflix, even better. If it's on Hulu Plus...maybe I'll buy Hulu Plus one day.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic week. And if you aren't, a fifteen-year-old kid
invented a new way to detect cancer at early stages. So you can feel good about the world, if not the impact you've made on it.
