Ass-kicking things

Me and my friends went to go see Kick-Ass.

We are such dorks. Like, there was Runaways on screen and we were like OMG RUNAWAYS. I thought all the fight scenes were pretty damn awesome, though there were times when I was like "OMG WHY ARE YOU WASTING ALL OF YOUR AMMO, JUST THROW A GODDAMN BOMB." Which just shows that I have watched far too much Batman in my life.

Nicholas Cage was...weird. I mean, there were certainly times when I was definitely sure I was watching Nicholas Cage play some guy, which didn't happen so much with the other characters even though I knew the actors, so that...was possibly not the best casting decision.

Also, Lynsey Fonseca is pretty, but the entire movie would have been prettier if Zefron had been in it as intended.

I definitely feel a sequel coming though.

And then we came home and watched Doctor Who.

Miss Pond, I am right ashamed of you! HAVE SOME CLASS.

I still love you, but class it up.

I'm so excited about the next episode cuz I do still ship Amy/Rory. I can't wait for him to be back. I just can't ship Amy/Doctor because it's all...they feel like family to me, like he's her dad or uncle or big brother. And as someone who ships a lot of incest, it being too familial is saying a lot.

Epic props for them keeping my Jeff/Doctor OTP. He still calls him the good-looking one. *thumbs up*

The angels didn't seem this scary this time around. They probably would have been if I had watched them together, but it seemed like very little build up here and I knew I was supposed to be scared, but I really wasn't, not like I was in the last episode and Blink. What they did with Amy and stuff was cool though. Overall, it was a good two-parter, but a two-parter that couldn't be split up well and remain the same level of fearsome.

movies, doctor who, kick-ass
