The fact that she takes being dead in stride, so much easier than she took her kids being hunters just says so much about her and her life and her family.
YES. Exactly this. I fucking love this episode and all the family dynamics it let us explore and that the boys got to be around their family. I think despite this episode not really advancing the story story, it's something we really needed. We needed the boys to be BOYYYSSS again and to remember that it's about family and love and relationships. It made me really sad and hurt (in the best way, in the way that only Supernatural can) and happy and optimistic about the rest of the season.

Also! My understanding of the whole bloodlines thing (for better or worse) is that they are both the Lucifer and Michael line, because they're brothers and because they're descendants of the original fighting brothers, but Sam has to be Lucifer because of the demon blood? Like, John can't actually be Michael because he'll start having that leprosy attack that Lucifer's having (it'll probably take longer because of the bloodline or whatever), but that is has to be Sam and Dean.

She makes me sob so much. My poor poor Mary. :( :( :(

CLEARLY WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT ALL EPISODES NEED MARY.
