I think it's because it reminded me of Jeepers Creepers and people getting gutted by a hook squicks the hell out of me.

I'm guessing you're not going to watch it... Just image The Mac Guy, you know, from the Apple commercials? Imagine him completely gutted to the point where you can see out of his mouth and eyes. And there's a dude that looks like a scarecrow listening to Louis Armstrong eating the kids eyes. That's how the movie ended.
