Bones 4.04 Reactions

Parker! Aww, I missed Parker. He’s so adorable. Spending time learning to throw a football with his dad is so cute.

If anyone has a Hot Rod, it’s Hodgins. That’s so Hodgins. I’m glad that they’re keeping up with the King of the Lab thing, but it is depressing.

Return of Booth’s religion. They’re doing it more this season than in the past, but I think that’s because he’s surrounded by Sweets more, so it’s two intellectuals against him, who is faith-based.

The fact that Brennan likes fuzzy creatures like opossums is kind of adorable.

Sweets trying to get close to Hodgins by pretending to be part of one of his conspiracy theories is so funny.

Wow, way to hide the dog. It’s kinda cute though. Pomeranian, probably. It’s all fluffy. I think Brennan needs a cat. A cat seems more of a Brennan animal. Also, I’m pretty sure Brennan knows what ketamine is…But Microsoft word doesn’t.

Upset Hodgins is upset. But I’m pretty sure it’s not because of the car. I think he’s be pretty annoyed by now of all these people he’s had to work with. Unlike Brennan, Hodgins likes forming relationships, not that I think he can anymore. I didn’t agree with making Zack Gormagon, but if they take their time to show how it’s affecting everyone negatively and what an impact Zack really made on the lab, I may support it. Especially because (SPOILER!) he’s coming back next week and in more episodes to come.

Training dogs to attack people is just wrong. The poor thing. Filing it’s teeth must be uncomfortable, if not painful. Actually, a lot of K9 dogs learn German or Dutch so that they can be told things that most people won’t understand. My uncle’s dog speaks both English and Spanish.

It’s okay, Booth. I’m afraid of the dog. Dogs are scary. That ones kinda cute though.

I’m glad that Booth is concerned about his son, even if it’s unnecessary. But all that information about Bones staging her own death and her poor family is very interesting. And freaky.

Wow, when Gladys’ ball squeezed, my dog looked up to look for whatever was squeaking. And we don’t even have any squeaky toys, so maybe it’s just a dog thing that they are automatically attracted to squeaking?

There is really something wrong with Hodgins. I mean, his life has kinda been out of control lately. Best friend turns out to be a murderer, gets dumped by his fiancé, and now he’s probably all alone in that big house and he has a new person to work with every week. I’d be upset too.

Lemme just say that dog fighting is despicable and disgusting and worthless.

It’s Xena: Warrior Princess, Booth. You can borrow my DVDs if you want. And now I wanna watch that.

Finally, Angela and Hodgins being awkward! It’s about time. But how about not being awkward and being in love and happy again. It’s only fair.

Oh, God, the poor doggies. I’m glad it’s a commercial, I need to go hug my pup.

Booth, you should give Bones a hug. I think she needs it. In fact, I need it. This is so horrible.

Bones is so polite with the dogs. They’re all really very cute. And I’m glad that Cesar is actually worth something and not just a guest star for guest star’s sake. Oh, God, the poor dogs. I’m kind of not sure if I can watch this anymore.

Hodgins isn’t angry at you, new guy. He’s just kind of angry at the world.

I think Parker’s cute. I’d probably carry him around like a monkey too.

I know that it has a lot to do with the episode, but the PSA about the dog fighting? Low blow. That hurt. I watch the commercials to get away from the hurt.

Snuggling with dogs is actually a good way to make yourself feel better. Apparently petting cats and dogs lowers your blood pressure and can lower stress.

Did Hodgins really go to see Sweets? On his own? Oh, good job, Hodgins. You hate Angela? Awww… Hate is a good way of getting your emotions out and not being cold and unfeeling. I guess as long as Hodgins isn’t hurting people and is just sticking to being an ass, he can hate anyone he want. And I think that hearing that it’s okay to hate everyone will make the hate lessen over time.

Oh, poor Brennan. She was so excited about her dog. I’m glad that Booth is helping her bury the remains though. I think she needed the closure. And maybe a new dog. Because she’d be very happy with a new dog.

Yay for the hug, because she really needed it.

So that was a good episode, if completely heartbreaking. Next week’s episode looks interesting, even if I already know what the “surprise ending” is thanks to TVGuide. But I still can’t wait.

Quotes!

Hodgins: I’d say King of the Lab, but that just depresses me.

Booth: Fine, I’ll go get your possum.
Brennan: Opossum.
Booth: Possum.
Brennan: Opossum.

Hodgins: The problem isn’t finding you, it’s avoiding you.

Hodgins: See how annoying that interrupting know-it-all used-car salesman thing is?

Intern Guy: We should track him down!
Hodgins: Wow, what an absolutely wonderful idea that can only come from someone with your life experience of ripping off car enthusiasts!
FBI Agent: I feel better now. You treat everyone like crap.

Cam: So you called me over here to…?
Hodgins: Make Sweets go away.

Booth: You two don’t get all Xena princess warrior on me.

Sweets: Hi, Parker, I’m Dr. Sweets.
Parker: His face doesn’t look like a babies behind.

Hodgins: You’re a genius.
Angela: No, you’re the genius.

Hodgins: Did you get your degree on the internet? Let me see your diploma!

Brennan: Like all dogs, Ripley saw the good in people. Dogs are like that. People should take a lesson.
