Yeah, no.
I didn't go out to party in the streets and wave flags around last night, but I'm not gonna apologize for being pleased that Osama's no longer around to at least help plan or bankroll ops that kill innocent people. Even if he didn't matter as much to Al Qaeda anymore, he was still around to at least help fund the cause, which made him a threat. I don't make it a habit to be pleased at people dying, but in this case, justice was served. Thousands of families from 9/11 and other attacks have some closure, and in the end we treated him a lot better than he treated us.
I'm also not going to apologize for the snark and memes aimed at Republicans and other conservatives, because they've been all but calling President Obama a terrorist (or at least a terrorist-sympathiser, or ineffectual in terms of defense) for years now. The GOP can suck it. Obama's not following in Bush's footsteps. He's cleaning up his mess, and it irks the HELL out of them. As it should.
