Next stop, Firenze!

Florence
The pearl of the Italian Renaissance. Elegant iris, bright berries, gilded amber and velvety spices.

In The Imp:  ...Vanilla??  Almost Snake Oil-ish.  Ehhh??? o_O

Immediate Application:  Ok, some sharper, very fresh notes come through - I'd almost say leaves, but I'm sure it's the iris.

30-45 Minutes Later:  No more vanilla - I'm wondering if my brain was just interpreting the notes as "vanilla" because it didn't know what to make of it yet.  After a while, I was able to pick out the notes - it dries down to mostly berries and spice, with the amber sweetening the mix into making me think it was vanilla at first.  7 hours after applying, I can still catch small whiffs when I move or turn my head, and I think it's gotten into my shirt as well.

Mental Image:  Less of an image, more of a color palette.

I may or may not also have visions of a pre-arrest Neal Caffrey posing as a tourist to case the Uffizi before a Job. *cough*

Verdict:  A good fall/winter perfume, and a *very* good Xmas/Solstice/Insert-Winter-Holiday-Here perfume.  Am looking for something different at this time, but I'll keep the imp around for when it gets cold again.

Also?  Days after trying Snake Oil, after it's been washed, my shirt that I wore while testing it STILL smells like vanilla.  O_O!!
