2018...and still here!
Interesting to see LiveJournal still on-line, if not really all that active. Reminds me of a post on a friend's page that appeared over a decade ago, which mentioned a recent visit to the (dying) MySpace platform of the time; it contained the comment: "What a ghost town!"
That would certainly apply to LJ these days (at least on my friends list). Everyone seemed to migrate over to FaceBook, forsaking the writer's platform LiveJournal provided for the "Like-&-Share" ease of meme-based social media. More style than substance, that FB; but difficult a lure to resist.
Were I to have been more active on this platform, deeply emotional farewells to my mechanic, brother & mother over the past year might have published here; maybe even more wordy than on my FB posts. Sometimes I can be long of wind; but sometimes, emotions need to flow...with just enough thought to provide proper context. I'm confident a few writers on my Friends List would understand.
Not sure if I'll get back here any time soon; but am curious to see more of this site (if anything is out there to find).
