Saying goodbye or letting go is one of life's greatest tragedies. It may lead to an ultimate reunion or an eternal seperation. But that would be overdramatizing the facts.
Right now, I've realized the true meaning of 'Carpe Diem' which translates to 'seize the day' and all the strings attached to it:
1. Do your best in everything you do because it just might be your last. Life's unpredictable, treat every chance you get at life, love and happiness as though they'd simply vanish into thin air.
2. Plans are for the boring kind of people. Sweet spontaneity is the key to cherished experiences and excitement. If you knew exactly what you're going to do the next day or the week after, you wouldn't be looking forward to anything at all. That's just so dang dull.
3. Be crazy once in a while. Quiet and busybody people who work or study day in and day out are missing out the best things in life. Letting yourself go and being who you really are never fails to bring out the stress and pent-up emotions. And... going broke once in a while is fine as well. xD (P.S. I just crazily cut my own hair this afternoon! Haha!)
4. Find your passion. The pursuit of a goal is the road to happiness. Don't do something monotonously every single day of your life because you have to. Do it because you want to. Learn to love your work, your studies and your life.
5. Believe in yourself. Keep a healthy heart and a good spirit. Aim for something greater than ourselves. 'Always reach for the moon. If you don't get it, don't worry... you'll still land on a star,' corny but true to its essence.
6. Enjoy learning. It doesn't matter if it'll come from the simple pages of a textbook, an experience with a loved one, an article about the environment and human rights or even from the modesty of the leaning bamboos against the torrents of the wind.
I've realized that I've been making these little lists for some of my few posts. Hahaha. I'm just cracked up like that. We'll be having a CSO parade tomorrow. I'm sure it'll be fun~ But I do hope they'd give out free food and drinks after the event.
