You'll always be special Lavannah, whether you see and hear ghosts or not. You're still the beautiful, intelligent, loving woman you were before.

There are probably any number of reasons it could be happening. Perhaps your body is learning to filter them for itself, without Louise's help. Or maybe there's something else effecting the ether.

If it bothers you, we could always see if anyone at the hospital might have any ideas.

And so your body is allowing that to happen. I see. I know it wasn't easy for you to do what you did a lot of the time, and it's dominated your life for so long. You've done a lot of good. It's fair enough if you want out, time to just be yourself now. Maybe if you step away from all this for a while, you'll be able to see the good in it again later. I don't believe the door will ever be closed against you.

What if I barricade it with my dresser?

Well, I suppose it's possible... I wouldn't want to try to say for sure, though, simply because I don't know enough about mediumship. All I do know, really, I learnt from you and Louise. What does she think about this?

Did something happen between you two, sweetheart?

Of course not. Something happened between you two.

I know. It just seemed like I should ask.

I'm upsetting you. I'm sorry. I never know the right things to say anymore.

You don't have to. It's never a matter of right and wrong when you talk to me. Whatever you want or need to say, is the right thing to say.

Besides, I understand what it's like to have once had all the right answers, then not to any more. Sometimes, it's so hard to find the right words without Mary's help. I never realised how much I relied on her for that until she was gone.

Was that a subtle way of saying "Lavannah, don't leave yourself behind?"

I'm just glad to have been able to find all the pieces. It's you who create the beautiful whole they fit into. I love you, Lavannah.
