Work + Play makes me rock out!
I just completed my first week of work. This job is pretty neat. There are people I support working on all manner of crazy things for the gov't. After next week, I get to start administering a linux cluster! Not a really big one, but still mad computation involved.
Also, last night, I saw two shows at Twiropa in NOLA. The first one at 9 was daKAH, the 60 (well at this show only 53) member Hip-hop Orchestra. They had like 7 MC's including a tiny girl who spit FIRE. Then we came back at 2 and braved the dirty hippie masses for Blackalicious and Soulive. We ended up leaving at 5 and Soulive hadn't even started yet. Oh well, less lame jam band fans to deal with. If you ever get the chance to see daKAH, it is imperative that you do so. They have a huge number of exceedingly talented musicians in their group. And they break it down with the mad funky flava. Of course, Blackalicious was everything I had hoped for.
