Marie & I had a pretty bad practice yesterday... one of those days you know. Just nothing was working. So we were both in pretty bad moods afterwards.
She just wanted to go home, but I said she wasn't getting rid of me that easily, and I dragged her out for dinner. I knew that would cheer her up, all the little french cafes here are some of her favourite places to be. So finally she had a smile on her face again, which was my whole goal... But then the smile got bigger and more mysterious. She led me back to the car grabbed both of our skates and started jogging away from me. I followed her down the road, until I realized where we were going. There's a big outdoor rink in the middle of the park here and sure enough that was were she went. We put on our skates and got on the ice. It was really crowded so we had a chance to just enjoy skating for the first time in awhile... We just skated around holding hands for a long time. It was a perfect night, just the right way to rebound from a really bad practice. Now I'm looking forward to our practice tonight.
