(no subject)
I totally missed church today. We were out late last night at my cousin's house and then I stayed up until like two anyway, plus I couldn't get to sleep. My mother overslept so she didn't wake us up. I woke up and started freaking out because I had to meet Mrs. Scarpine and Amy. So Bob drove me. I missed the sermon, which was sad. Joe was there for some reason...usually he goes to his mother's church. Mrs. Scarpine asked him if he wanted to go to Kingdom Bound with us. I don't think he does.
After church Amy and I went down to Mrs. Scarpine's office to talk about how we're going to teach VBS this year. There are probably going to be like twenty kids in our class. We went to lunch at Wendy's. Then we came back to the church and handed out more flyers. We covered pretty much the entire neighborhood. We went back to her office and made nametags for the children. I showed them my pictures from the trip. Mrs. Scarpine had bought these awesome bracelets from Life Resources to give to some of the kids, but then she decided that the teachers would get to have them, so I was excited about that. I just took a random one and looked at it later and it said "w.w.j." And I'm like "...where's the 'd'?" But then I realized it stood for "walk with Jesus" because it had a bunch of footprints on the bracelet. Mrs. Scarpine drove me home. She has never been to my house before, I don't think. It must have been exciting for her.
I helped my mother set up for the party and then I took a nap before people came.
It was: grandmother, Marie, Aunt Michelle, Uncle Tony, Felecia, Anthony Michael, Michael Anthony, Kross Vincent, Vincent Kross, Uncle Jim, Aunt Maria, Nicole, Gina, James.
(This was both of my sisters' birthday party, by the way...we sort of combine them, even though they're not that close.) Nicole and I hung out for a while and then we ate dinner. My mother ordered way too much food. It was crazy. Then, somehow, Nicole convinced me to get changed and go in the pool with her. The weather wasn't very pleasant today. The water was quite chilly. I don't know why I agreed to swim. We went in the hot tub later. And then we did cake and presents and such. It was fun.
The children are totally out of control. One almost drowned, one threw up, one spilled soda all over...oh man. My uncle told me that for my birthday, he was going to give me Kross. Sam called during the party...maybe I should call her back?
Tomorrow I start work. Wish me luck Kill me.
